A letter From Chief Rabbi Yosef Chaim Zonenfeld to King Feisal of Iraq,

13 Tishrei 5692 (1931)
To His Majesty King Feisal of Iraq,
Your Majesty, my old age and weakness prevent me from going on foot to the train station tomorrow, Saturday [when the Torah prohibits us from riding in cars], to have to honor of being among those who greet Your Majesty on your appearance at the gates of the Holy City. I am honored to express to Your Majesty by deepest blessing on the occasion of your visit to the Holy Land. May the King of Kings in His mercy spread upon you and your kingdom His canopy of peace.
Your servant, Yosef Chaim Zonenfeld |
