Protesters and
Supporters Outside Monsey, NY Synagogue
While some protested outside one of the anti-Zionist
Orthodox
Jewish
synagogues
of
Neturei
Karta
International
in
Monsey
NY,
Rockland
County,
on
Sunday,
January
7,
2007,
several
hundred
demonstrators
held signs
to
show
support
for
the
Rabbis
that
met
with
Iranian President last December. The delegation of
Rabbis
in
Iran had expressed
the
view
that
the
Holocaust
should
not
be
used
to legitimize
the
existence
of
the
State
of
Israel
and
that
by
putting
aside
Zionism
there
is
no
deterrent for
the
coexistence
of
Jews
and
Muslims.
