| On Thursday, July 1, 2004,
an International Rabbinical Conference was
held in Vienna, Austria subsequent to the
dedication of a square (platz) in that city
honoring the founder of Zionism, Theodor
Herzl. Orthodox Jews demonstrated on Friday
July 2, 2004 in the city of Vienna, Austria
to proclaim and clearly state that: Theodor
Herzl is not a Jewish icon to be honored
and that Zionism and the State of "Israel"
are illegitimate and they do not represent
the Jewish people.
